Fatima, where the Blessed Virgin appeared to three little children Lucia, Francesco and Jacinta in 1917 is now one of the greatest Marian Shrines in the world. In May 2000 Pope John Paul II came to Fatima to beatify Francesco and Jacinta. Lucia was present in Fatima for the Beatification. Today Fatima receives millions of pilgrims especially during the Feast days which are on the 13th of each month from May to October.

Pilgrimage Programme Our 7 night Pilgrimage programme includes the following: Guided Walking Tour of Sanctuary area, visiting Capelinha, The Rosary Basilica and the graves of Jacinta and Francesco, The Chapel of Perpetual Adoration.

Half day tour visiting Aljustrel, the homes of the visionaries; Valhinos, where Our Lady appeared on 19th August 1917; Loca do Cabeco and the Dos Santos Well where the Angel appeared to the children in 1916 and the Fatima Parish Church where the children were baptised. Pilgrims may also partake in the Outdoor Stations of the Cross.

Participation in the various organised ceremonies of the Shrine, including the daily Rosary and Torchlight Procession, the special Feast Day and Vigil Ceremonies including Concelebrated Mass, Liturgical Procession, Eucharist Blessing of the Sick and the Farewell Procession.

Our programme will also include a visit to the Monastery of Pius XII, the Dominican Convent of the Perpetual Rosary, where most of the nuns are Irish. There are also other optional visits such as visiting the Photographic Museum and the Wax Museum (small entrance fee).

Optional Tours
COIMBRA (Half Day)
The drive to Coimbra is approximately 45 minutes. Here we visit the convent where Sr. Lucia, the only survivor of the three children, is an enclosed Carmelite nun. Mass will be celebrated here followed by visits to the Shrine of Queen Saint Elizabeth of Portugal and Monastery of Santa Clara.

NAZARE (Full Day)
En route to the typical resort of Nazare, we visit the famous medieval Monastery of Bathala and/or Alcobaca. Once we reach Nazare, we make a visit to the little Shrine of Our Lady of Nazare before we have some free time for shopping and time on the beach.

LISBON (Full Day)
Full Day Tour to the beautiful City of Lisbon taking in a guided tour of the popular sights and including a visit to the Church of St Anthony (birth place of St Anthony of Padua). Lunch is Included
